Should I be able to add a NFS data store with a different Ip address as other hosts in the cluster?

Hello,

We have a small cluster using NFS mounts for data-stores.  We added recently added 10 Gb interfaces to all the hosts and all the NFS servers, and bought a new host.

The idea was to deploy the new host with the same data store names but using the NFS server IP address that's the 10Gb interface.  However, when I try to add the data store to this new host with the exact same name as the other hosts the Web client barfs with a generic "an error occurred" message.  The old school VI-client happily the add the new Datatore, but add a (1) to the name, so it considers the data stores as different.  I have options to shut down VM's and Hosts if necessary, but doing a storage Vmotion of an entire NAS from one interface to another cannot be the way to go..  Is it?
