I was trying to update vmtools in a red hat server 5.9. I was given the instructions to build the yum repo. It all worked as I was told it would. The only exception is that the summary tab in the vSphere client reports as the vm tools not being installed. I can rung the command on the console to check on the version and it is the correct version and it shows installed. Has someone run into this before?
