I haven't been able to find KB articles of exactly this situation, but its as follows.
An ESXi host was removed from vcenter (a newer server ended up replacing it).
I'm noticing the host that was removed still contains the DV switch configuration, which is a remnant of vCenter. I removed the virtual and physical nics from it, but I don't see how to remove the DV switches at all. I thought this configuration would be gone once removed from a vCenter server. I want to re-purpose this server with free ESXi and throw some local storage in it. How can I remove the dvSwitch configuration from it? It does not appear to be hurting anything since nothing is really attached to it... but it still feels 'unclean' to me.
